On this week's episode of Georgia Traveler, we're on a "Rabun Gap Ramble", exploring the Rabun Gap Loop in the northeast mountains. After an appropriate safety course, Phil is experiencing the outdoors on a motorcycle. The famed Dillard House is our getaway and David finds family fun at Lake Burton. Keely and the guys learn to ride the rapids on the Chattooga River and Phil discovers food with a view at Isabelle’s on the Gorge in Tallulah Falls.

Paddles, rafts, and a boat full of fun, that is how the Georgia Traveler team explores this local legend. As one of the first streams added to the National Wild and Scenic River System, the Chattooga River was the site for the filming of the movie Deliverance. The team travels down the river to unlock its secrets and discover an adventure that would leave them screaming for more. Phil satisfies his need for speed as he dons his helmet and gear and hops onboard his Harley. After completing his Motorcycle Safety Program Basic Rider Course, Phil and a group of motorcycling buddies show off their skills in our Rabun Gap Ramble. Their route: U.S. 441 North through Rabun County. Their objective: to have as much fun (safely) as possible! Whether you’re into fishing, camping, boating, canoeing, biking, playing horseshoes, or just relaxing by the lake, Moccasin Creek State Park on beautiful Lake Burton has what you’re looking for. The smallest state park in Georgia, Moccasin Creek makes up for what it lacks in size by the many things to do and see there.
