Field Trip: Chieftain’s Museum: A Cherokee Landmark
The Chieftains Museum contains collections on Cherokee history and, especially, Cherokee Chief Major Ridge. It has a diorama of a 16th century Indian village, Cherokee artifacts from archaeological digs on the Chieftains' site, and exposed handhewn logs of the original log cabin. The museum is the former home of Chief Major Ridge.
