Carl Sanders was Georgia's first "New South" Governor, guiding the state from 1963 to 1967 through an era of great change. After studying at UGA, Sanders settled back in his hometown of Augusta to practice law but soon entered politics. He was just 37 years-old when he was elected Governor and set about reforming state government, education and much more. In this episode of GPB's quarterly Conversation series, Governor Sanders shares stories of his life and career with host, Susan Hoffman.
