Georgia Gazette Expands to Saturdays

GPB’s award winning public affairs program "Georgia Gazette" is now part of the weekend lineup. Check us out Saturdays at Noon. The show is appropriately called "Weekend Gazette" and hosted by Valarie Edwards. "Weekend Gazette" will examine the important topics of the week and bring you the voices in Georgia News. Look for in-depth interviews on topics ranging from gardening and cooking to hard core politics. We want "Weekend Gazette" to be a place were you can find this region’s diversity of people, voices and cultures,” Edwards says. "It’s a show about where we live."

Host Valarie Edwards was born in New York City, but has called the San Francisco-Bay Area home for the last twenty years. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Pre-Law from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. Valarie also holds a Master's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, Graduate School of Journalism. (GO BEARS!)

GPB will also re-broadcast the daily Georgia Gazette program at 11 pm every night. And don’t forget, Georgia Gazette and Weekend Gazette are available to hear on-line at GPB.org.
