Old Car City USA

White, Ga.

If your average ‘old car junkyard’ is where hunks of junk go to die, then Old Car City in White, Georgia is where aging beauties go to be re-born. The junkyard has turned into an international destination for artists, photographers and classic car lovers.

Holeman and Finch

Atlanta, Ga.

Holeman and Finch Public House is just that, a public house. The arrangement of the tables and the seating in the establishment encourages conversation and communion—a sense that this is a community gathering. The menu is set up the same way. A meal here might be one or two items for one person or several items served up to share with companions or your neighbor seated at the bar. Each night, 24 exquisite, double patty cheeseburgers are assembled on house-made buns and served alongside hand-cut fries and homemade ketchup, mustard and pickles . . . only 24. Some nights they sell out in under a minute.
