It is one of Atlanta's hidden gems… The Delta Air Transport Heritage Museum. Among its attractions is a single engine Travel Air, similar to the first airplanes Delta used to transport passengers. Also, a perfectly restored DC 3 that came online in 1941, the year that Delta moved to Atlanta. There are exhibits that show how Delta evolved from a Louisiana crop dusting company into one of the world's largest airlines and Atlanta's biggest employer. Until now, the museum has been available mainly to Delta employees and guests. But now, Delta would like to share with a wider audience this fascinating look at commercial aviation in the 20th century.
