Dyar Pasture Recreational Area, Oconee National Forest

Oconee, Ga.

The Oconee National Forest is known for its majestic trees and spectacular fishing on Lake Oconee, however it is also one of the state’s premiere destinations for bird watchers. David and Ben Emanuel of the Oconee River project take a stroll through a 60 acre mudflat known as Dyar Pasture Reserve armed with some top notch binoculars to help spot a wide variety of wetland birds.
