On The Altamaha

Take a journey with us down one of the mightiest rivers on the East Coast, and perhaps the hardest to pronounce. We travel 137 miles from central Georgia to the Atlantic Ocean by kayak, motorboat, skiff, and shrimp boat. As we paddle past snakes that hang from branches, get caught in dangerous thunderstorms, and find ourselves repeatedly stuck in overgrown swamps, the story of this untamed river unfolds with beauty and a large dose of humor.
