Loggerheads: The Epic Journey

Any mother could identify with the long struggle female Loggerhead turtles make to deliver their eggs. On an isolated island off the coast of Georgia, we capture the strength and beauty of that moment. The path of Loggerheads is often studied, but rarely seen up close. This unique encounter allows us to explore the true circle of life of one of Georgia's treasures, but the cyclical journey of Loggerheads faces many challenges. The species, Caretta caretta, are going extinct, and many local biologists are on a passionate quest to save them. Their valiant effort is a poignant reminder of the impact humans have on some of the most amazing creatures on earth.
