Scientist's predict that the extinction rate of plants and animals on our planet may be as high as one or more a day. Thankfully, there are many conservation success stories here in Georgia too. These successes have been hard won and would not have occurred without the efforts and cooperation of lots of people, agencies and organizations. But, there is no rest for the weary.

This program features some of Georgia's biggest conservation challenges – the Right Whale, the Loggerhead Sea Turtle and the Robust Redhorse – as well as some of Georgia's success stories like the Whitetail Deer, the wild Turkey, the Bald Eagle and the Alligator. This program focuses on the Right Whale and the organizations that work together to protect the remaining animals that number less than 300.
