The prestigious statewide Georgia Literary Festival has chosen to honor the late poet/novelist Byron Herbert Reece in the quaint Appalachian mountain town of Blue Ridge, Ga. September 28 – 30, and Georgia Public Broadcasting will be there to help celebrate with Curious George and giveaways for children.

Annenberg Media Learning – Assists educators in providing excellent teaching through the use of media and telecommunications. This web site offers teachers educational video programs accompanied by web and print materials to aid in the educational development of children in grades k-12.

Georgia Department of Education – GDE ensures that the rules and regulations pertaining to education are abided by throughout the state of Georgia. This web site also provides students and parents with information related to educational issues.
Teachers' Domain – An educational web site that provides educators with an assortment of information to enrich the educational process and improve their teaching abilities.
PBS Teachers Source – Provides the public with information that helps inspire the teaching process. Through this site teachers, as well as parents and students, are given access to information that changes the way teaching and learning occurs.

The Bridge – Allows educators to share their ideas, lessons, and materials with other educators throughout the state of Georgia. They are also able to chat and develop communities online.

Salsa – A great site that provides non-Spanish speaking and Spanish speaking elementary school students with games, activities, and episodes to help them learn a second language and connect with a different culture.

PBS Kids – A great resource that provides children with interactive games that allows them to learn while utilizing their creativity. Through this web site children are free to choose from various types of games that add fun and excitement to the process of learning.
A Place of Our Own – A television series that helps students obtain cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills, along with language and literacy development. This series, as well as the website, is designed for childcare providers and caregivers to help them understand how children learn.
TV 411 – A television series that has enriched community programs since 1998. Through TV411's television series and this helpful web site, adults are able to develop stronger literacy and mathematic foundations to better understand information related to health care.
PBS Parents – A wonderful site that offers parents useful information pertaining to child development and learning. Through this site parents can find information on topics such as raising boys to hosting birthday parties.
Right from Birth – A television series that assists parents in understanding the developmental stages of children from birth to 18 months old.
Reading Rainbow – This website offers different episodes of Reading Rainbow, accompanied by discussion ideas, curriculum index study guides, and activities for children in the classroom and at home.
Reading Rockets – An excellent program that helps parents and caregivers prepare children for school long before they are ready to start. The Reading Rockets website and the television series assists parents in examining the different stages that children experience while developing their reading skills.
Going to School – A parenting series designed to prepare young children for school.
