Metro-Atlanta Literacy Awareness Event
Students, teachers, tutors, volunteers, advocates, literacy services administrators, board members and everyone interested in the role of public policy and the impact of literacy-related services will not want to miss the second annual Metro-Atlanta Literacy Awareness event on Thursday, November 1. This event features a special presentation by Dr. David J. Rosen (pictured) about "Building a System of Adult and Family Literacy Education at Community and State Levels." Dr. David J. Rosen is known internationally for his projects involving adult and out-of-school youth education programs in the United States and abroad. He is an adult and family literacy education advocate who is the moderator for the National Institute for Literacy Special Topics Discussion Forum, a consultant to the State Education Office in Washington, D.C., a past Director of the Adult Literacy Resource Institute at the University of Massachusetts Boston, and a past Director of Education at Jobs for Youth-Boston.
