Georgia’s Path2College 529 Plan® is offering the first-ever “Saving for College Makes a Difference” essay contest, where families can win $529 toward a college savings plan. The winners will also be featured on a billboard.
To enter the “Saving for College Makes a Difference” essay contest, entrants must complete and submit an original essay, no more than 300 words in length, describing how saving for college will make or has made a difference in their lives or the lives of their families.
The essay contest is open to Georgia residents who are at least 16 years of age, but parents and grandparents are encouraged to share stories on behalf of younger children as well. Submitted essays will be judged on their originality, creativity and organization. A total of four entrants will be chosen as winners. The first winner will be selected from all eligible entries on November 11, 2012 and an additional winner will be selected weekly over the following three weeks.
Each winner will receive a college savings contribution of $529 and be featured on a billboard in the heart of the Atlanta metropolitan area.

All volunteers receive training, free parking and a catered meal provided by Carole Parks Catering.
