Elementary learners are in grades kindergarten through fifth grade. The younger learners in this group are typically creative problem-solvers, extend their oral skills to writing and begin to think in abstract terms mathematically.
The older learners in this group display longer attention spans, like to make their own decisions and share their opinions. For more on how children develop in this stage, we recommend that you review the PBS Parents' Child Development Tracker.
We have curated resources and sites here that nurture the Elementary learner for both in and out of the classroom.
