The Carters – A Conversation, a GPB original production, aired nationally on PBS in conjunction with American Experience and is hosted by Journalist Gwen Ifill (The NewsHour, Washington Week) and features extensive interviews with both Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter.

Taped in late October at The Carter Center, the first program of The Carters – A Conversation offers a very personal perspective, looking back at lives and careers that began in rural Georgia, went to the White House and continue today as perhaps the most active post-presidency in history. The second program looks ahead, from their unique perspective at issues both national and international that will continue to affect the lives of Americans in the future. Continuing conflict in the Middle East, terrorism, "small" wars around the world, the AIDS epidemic internationally and mental health issues here at home are all expected to be part of the wide ranging discussion.

The Carters – A Conversation is made possible by Bank of America, Georgia-Pacific and The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation.
