In 1986, Civil Rights warrior, John Lewis, took his battle for equal rights to the halls of Congress and has been representing Georgia’s 5th district ever since. Considered by many to be the “conscience of Congress” Lewis is known for his unwavering views and outspokenness on issues of equality and justice. In this half-hour interview with host, Susan Hoffman, Lewis talks about his devotion to the philosophy of non-violence, how his experiences in the Civil Rights Movement shape his role in Congress and about the battles he is still fighting today.
