Susanna Capelouto, Executive Director

Susanna Capelouto oversees the news operations for Georgia Public Broadcasting's 17-station radio network -- both on-air and on-line. In her position, she coordinates with GPB reporters throughout the state of Georgia. Susanna has won numerous broadcast awards over the years from the Associated Press, the Society of Professional Journalists, the Georgia Broadcasters Association and Public Radio News Directors, Inc. She has served as president of Georgia AP Broadcasters board and she's won the Journalist of the Year award from the Atlanta Press Club in 2004. Susanna is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, Public Radio News Directors Inc., the Atlanta Press Club and the Association of Independents in Radio (AIR).

Rickey Bevington

Rickey comes to you every weeknight from 4 - 6:30 PM on GPB Radio delivering the latest Georgia news during All Things Considered. Plus, join her weeknights on GPB-TV at 5:58 and 6:56 for her Georgia News Briefs. Over nearly four years at GPB, Rickey has hosted GPB-TV's award-winning arts program State of the Arts, for which she was nominated for an Emmy award. During GPB-TV's September 2009 "Dinosaur Week," paleontologists, a wildlife expert, and several wild animals joined Rickey in the television studio to talk about dinosaurs and their modern descendents. For GPB Radio, Rickey has hosted the Consumer Call-In, Georgia Gazette, and Morning Edition. In 2008, the Atlanta Press Club nomiated Rickey for Journalist of the Year. She has won numerous journalism awards, including a GABBY award for her coverage of Georgia music. Atlanta-born but Boston-raised, Rickey began her broadcast career while attending Barnard College in New York City, where she indulged her love of independent film interning for three years at Sundance Channel. After graduating from Barnard in 2001, Rickey worked with Showtime Networks, Connecticut Public Radio, and the Hartford CBS television news affiliate, WFSB-TV.

Myriam Levy Farrero

Myriam Levy Farrero has been a part of GPB since 2006, as a producer for Georgia Gazette and Morning Edition. She was born in Munich, Germany grew up in the United States and lived in Israel for many years. She graduated from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jersualem with a major in fine arts. She has worked as a translator for a Middle East media think tank in Jerusalem and has taught Hebrew, English and German as a second language in the United States and abroad. She first discovered her love for radio at Brandeis University. Myriam brings with her a background in the Performing Arts. She performed in the Decatur Arts Festival in 2008 and 2009.

Carl Zornes

Carl Zornes is currently part of GPB's New Media team, working in conjunction with GPB Radio. He started in October 2008 producing and reporting, and he covered the 2009 session of the Georgia General Assembly. Originally from Chalmette, Louisiana (just outside of New Orleans), Carl made the Atlanta area his new home after Hurricane Katrina had plans of her own... Once here, Carl continued school at Kennesaw State University and graduated summa cum laude in July 2008. He has a wide variety of interests, including: technology (Macs, PCs, the iPhone, Internet, etc.), music (Alanis Morissette rocks!) and football (Go Saints!). Carl is happily married and has two beautiful daughters.

Amanda Scott

Amanda graduated from Brenau University with a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in radio and television broadcasting in May 2005. She worked in community radio for three years before becoming part of the GPB Radio family as an intern for Radio in the fall of 2005. She began her broadcasting career in college radio at Brenau University as the host of "The World Wind Wind Up," a world music show as DJ Ms.Unique and as student promotions director. She has also used her talents in broadcasting as a freelance production assistant for radio and film.
