Cleveland Orchestra in Performance: Bruckner Symphony No. 5

The Cleveland Orchestra, as part of its 12-concert European tour in September 2006, appeared in the magnificent baroque cathedral of St. Florian, Austria, where the orchestra performed Anton Bruckner’s towering Symphony No. 5 under the direction of music director Franz Welser-Möst. The sold-out performances in the cathedral, which serves as Bruckner’s final resting place, were recorded for this broadcast.
