Chicano Rock! The Sound of East Los Angeles

Chicano Rock! The Sound of East Los Angeles tells the story of generations of young Mexican-Americans who proudly expressed their identity through music. Narrated by Edward James Olmos, the program is filled with intimate first-person storytelling and rare film and photos. It also highlights exuberant music from artists such as Lalo Guerrero, the father of Chicano music; the legendary Ritchie Valens; and classic bands such as Cannibal and the Headhunters and Los Lobos.
