The popular Washington-based comedy group will bring their unique brand of humor to an exclusive GPB special taped at Georgia State University’s Rialto Center for the Arts. Known for its hilarious satirizations of national and local politics, the Capitol Steps began as a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize the very people who employed them.
For nearly 30 years, the group has performed for audiences across the country, including the last five presidents. Cast members represent a total of 18 Congressional offices with 62 years of cumulative House and Senate staff experience. They have released 29 albums, including the latest, Obama Mia!, as well as their holiday release, Barackin’ Around the Christmas Tree.
