The Tornado Intercept Vehicle, courtesy of Green Screen Films and Graphic Films

Back to school season is almost here and many people are scrambling for last-minute summer fun activities. If your idea of "summer fun" includes seeing a flick, I recommend heading into your local IMAX Theatre to see Tornado Alley.

Tornado Alley follows the efforts of researcher Josh Wurman and filmmaker Sean Casey as they seek to get up close, and into, a twister. I caught up with Sean Casey, who explains how (and why!) he built the ultimate tornado chasing vehicle.

Tornado Alley is available at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Atlanta, and the National Museum and Soldier Center in Columbus. More information about the movie can be found at TornadoAlleyMovie.com.
