Ken Burns And Lynn Novick Team Up To Create A Series About The Vietnam War

The Vietnam War was one of the most controversial wars in American history, yet the internal and external chaos that ensued with American troops and politics involved has never been talked about in detail until now.  

Ken Burns and Lynn Novick have come together to present: The Vietnam War series. This ten-part 18-hour series tells the of the war from 80 witness from all sides. From the American troops, to the ones who opposed the war and even testimonies from troop and civilians from North and South Vietnam. This ten year project includes re-mastered achieved footage as well as rarely seen footage from sources around the globe. The special also includes photographs taken by the most celebrated photojournalists of the 20th century, historical news broadcasts, home movies and secret recordings from the Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon administrations.

The Vietnam War series not only includes 100 musical recordings from artists of the era, it also features a score created by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, with additional music by composer David Cieri, as well as the Silk Road Ensemble featuring Yo-Yo Ma.
