India, with a population of more than a billion people, still has room for a plethora of wildlife and natural wonders. India-Nature's Wonderland joins wildlife biologist Liz Bonnin, actor Freida Pinto and mountaineer Jon Gupta on an adventure through India. We'll see such creatures such as tigers, gibbons, elephants and rhinos. We'll also see the sacred Ganges to tea plantations.
In the first episode, we experience a ritual tiger dance where the locals adorn themselves in decorative tiger body paint. Then we take a look at lions in the Gir Forest, elephants and the only ape in India, the hoolock gibbon, then climb the Himalayas where the Ganges River begins.
In episode 2, we meet a man who spent 30 years planting his own rainforest. We also encounter demoiselle cranes, tahr goats, one-horned rhinos, the tiny pika and lion tailed macaques. We'll also get to see the mass hatching of olive ridley turtles.
