Marcus Watson and Eric Coleman combined for 58 points to lead No. 1 Buford to a 76-69 win over No. 5 Fayette County and claim its second straight Class 5A boys championship at the Macon Coliseum.

Watson scored 33 points, including two thunderous dunks and four 3-pointers, and Coleman scored 25 points on three treys. Watson had 10 rebounds and Coleman added nine rebounds and four blocked shots. 

Buford (29-2) also got eight rebounds from Bobby Miller and six assists and three steals from Ashton Young. 

Fayette County (26-6) was led by Ricky Knight Jr. with 22 points on 6-for-8 shooting on 3-pointers. JeKobe Coleman added 15 points, Josh Dupree tallied 12 and seven assists, and Terrell Bradley scored 10. 

The game was tied 53-53 entering the fourth quarter, but Buford outscored the Tigers 23-16. An 8-0 run in the middle of the final period included two free throws and trey from Watson and a three-point play from Coleman that gave Buford a 66-58 lead. Fayette County never got closer than four points.
