Benedictine Cadets

Record, ranking: 1-0, No. 3 in Class 3A

Coach: Danny Britt is 79-15 in his eighth season at Benedictine. He is 111-37 in 13 seasons overall. 

Best players: Seven defensive starters return for Benedictine, including Jakeen Harris (team leader in tackles)  and  Eric Hicks (team leader in sacks). Rico Powers is expected to be the featured back and rushed nine times for 91 yards in Benedictine’s lone game 

Blessed Trinity Titans

Record, ranking: 3-0, No. 1 in Class 4A

Coach: Tim McFarland is 78-18 in his eighth season at Blessed Trinity. He is 160-52-2 overall in 18 seasons. He led Blessed Trinity to the state title in 2017 and took Roswell to the Class 5A title in 2006. 

Best players: Running back Steele Chambers, an Ohio State commit, has rushed for 269 yards and seven touchdowns. Linebacker J.D. Bertrand is a Georgia signee and wide receiver Ryan Davis has multiple Div. I offers. 

Series: Blessed Trinity leads the series 2-0. The most recent meeting came in 2011, a 17-14 Blessed Trinity win in the season opener.
