Coaches like Starbucks too!

Sorry that we weren’t able to make it down to Colquitt County, y’all. Hurricane Matthew altered our plans… But don’t fret! We’re coming down on October 28 for homecoming!

Before everything changed, I was chatting with Rush Propst about, ya know… football.

But the best thing I learned about the back-to-back state champion head coach, the Head Packer himself… is that he loves Vanilla Bean Frappuccinos (heavy on the caramel, btw).

I mean, that’s just too good not to share. So, you’re welcome.

Back To Football

Here’s some valuable information- less fun, but valuable:

We will be broadcasting the Grayson Rams versus the Archer Tigers this Friday night. And while everyone has been hard on Archer, they’re coming off of a big win over Newton last week: a 42-0 shutout. Region play has begun and it doesn’t really matter that they’ve lost four games. They’re unbeaten in region play and so is Grayson.

I can tell you right now, Jeff Herron isn’t overlooking this team for a second. Not to mention Archer has played a top-5 team just about every week, so their schedule has been extremely brutal, which has only made them tougher.

Chatting with Coach Herron this week, the biggest thing that stood out to me was when he talked about QB Chase Brice. He’s definitely happy to inherit a quarterback as good as he is. He also mentioned that the coaching transition (Jeff Herron taking over for Mickey Conn) could’ve been hard on Brice, but he’s handled it well.

Also, Jeff has been running a little bit of a different offense, more wing-T, which has given Chase the ability to be more versatile within that offense. He’ll suit up for the Clemson Tigers next season.

This just scratches the surface… we’ve got much more to talk about, join us tomorrow night on GPB at 7:00PM for the All Access Pre-game show and find us on Facebook, Twitter AND Snapchat: @GPBsports.
