Okay… how many surprises were added to your surprises from last week…???

Let’s start in Moultrie… Colquitt County is playing a murderous schedule- that much is known. Graduation and growth are two things that happen over time and when you schedule Mill Creek, American heritage, and Tucker out of the blocks, things can happen…

But, as I continue to preach patience to any and all of you who might look at the number to the left of the dash and it’s lower than the number to the right of it, let’s look at the week that was…

Starting with a little Labor Day football where a team that dropped down to single-a put a thumping on a single-a powerhouse when Macon County visited Irwinton…

Theo Dorsey has the look…

Next up, someone is on a roll… Houston County… and Jake Fromm needed just under 300 yards passing for the 10,000 yards mark in his career- a level that only DeShaun Watson hit when he was at Gainesville. Fromm got the 300 and 200 more in a game against Jackie’s alma mater- Eagles Landing High School. Big Marvin tells us the tale so…

It was also the debut of Freedom Field for Houston County and Veterans High for their home games. So, a huge congratulations for everyone down there that made it happen. The place… is… gorgeous…

Another big surprise of the week was what happened at The Reeve…

56 points on the board for Cartersville AT Calhoun…

Dave Staley has your look at the Trevor Lawrence Show from Friday night…

So, before we continue…

Here’s this week’s question…

Last week, I asked if you were surprised by all the surprises… Are you still surprised by even more surprises…???

Do both… we like it when you do that…

Last stop, the CSRA… where Hermine caused her own batch of havoc and pushed games to Saturday. But Matt has a look at some sunshine and Saturday high school football…

Which brings us to this week and the first outdoor game of “Football Fridays in Georgia” as an angry 0-3 Colquitt County side visits Roswell to take on the Hornets…

The “All Access Pass” show with Mark and Jackie starts at 7:00 with kickoff a little after 7:30. So join them, Matt, Larry, Chuck, Sam, and myself all season long to tell you what’s what in an already wacky high school football season on GPB-TV, GPB.org, and the GPB Sports app

Play it safe, everyone! I’ll see you at the stadium!
