Let’s start by saying that it was a great add bringing in the voice of the Titans, Mike Keith, for the end of that video above…

This week’s “Football Fridays” podcast is all about family…

We catch up with the Coaching Hochstetlers of Manchester- head coach Evan and Offensive line coach Dwight. And I know some of you are doing a bit of a double-take on that… Yes, the retired-for-a-week, 4th on the All-Time Wins List, former head coach of Bowdon has flipped roles with his Offensive Coordinator son in Manchester.

So, we find out what life is like for them wearing blue instead of red…

And, it’s our monthly visit with Jackie Brittain as we get ready for our trip to Moultrie and the Valdosta-Colquitt County game this Friday night. For the record, this is going to be a cool few days in South Georgia and those of us at GPB could not be happier to share the state with the rest of the state for this version of a rivalry.

On with the show…

We, obviously, have to start in Region 1-6A with one of the top teams in the country. Colquitt is now ranked third in some polls and they took on (what a lot of folks thought) would be one of the toughest match-ups of the season in Lee County. Jake is in the “Locker Room” with Colquitt, Valdosta, Bainbridge, Thomas County Central, and a near-upset in Cairo and Crisp…

On the coast, Slats and Sears give us a look at Savannah Christian- Calvary Day along with Glynn Academy and Ware County.

For the record, the loss by the Gators to Glynn was the first regular season loss by Franklin Stephens since Halloween of 2009. That goes back to his time at Tucker, Lamar County, and Ware County. That was a big win for Rocky Hidalgo in Region 3-5A to give them the inside track as the top seed for the post-season. We hear from Rocky in “Jon’s Georgia” in this week’s “All-Access Pass.”

Heading up to the CSRA, Burke County ran into a tough Liberty County side, JeffCo and Metter squared off, and Thomson tried to rebound with a game against Clarkston. Matt and Nathan give us a look at what went down on the east coast…

And in the west, Dave and Tall Paul look at Marion County’s work in Buena Vista shutting out Brookstone- showing us all how the Eagles are in the top five in the GPB Poll. We also get a look at Columbus-Shaw, Hardaway, Harris County, and Kendrick in action…

Now, it’s time for the promotional part of the program…

WE ARE HEADING TO SOUTH GEORGIA!!!

I don’t know if we mentioned that at all…

Region 1-6A is under the microscope and the bright lights of “Football Fridays” as Valdosta and Colquitt take on each other for the 95th time. The GPB Army is heading down for the opportunity to show off Moultrie and south Georgia to the rest of the state.

The “All-Access Pass” starts at 7, but we’ll be in town a lot sooner. Join Matt, Sam, Rayven, Jackie, Mark, and me for everything this week in an important game in the state landscape…

And, if for some reason you’re either at the game and want to watch or you’re at your own game and want to keep up, download the GPB Sports app to get all the scores, standings, and stats. Follow us on Facebook (GPB Sports), Twitter (@GPBSports or each of us individually), and on GPB.org/sports for everything you need to know all the time.

Play it safe, everyone… I’ll see you at the stadium!
