So, Gwinnett County…

You had a full Friday night…

Between Archer-Grayson and Peachtree Ridge-McEachern, you hands your hands full on social media going back and forth trying to see who was going to win as both games went down to the wire- AT THE SAME TIME!

But, kudos to Grayson for hitting the last-second field goal and to Peachtree Ridge for holding off one of the state’s most prolific passers when it counted!!!

Two fantastic finishes last week…

Okay, Dear Reader, it’s time for your Question of the Week: What do you think of your favoirite team’s performance so far this season…???

Just be sure to comment down below, as happened last week, log onto our Facebook page (GPB Sports) and let us know what’s going on in your part of the state, or let us know 140 characters at a time on our Twitter page (@GPB Sports) or my own Twitter (@OSGNelson)

Now, to the highlights…

L:et’s start in the east where one of the weirdest-looking regions in the state is hitting region play. Matt and Nathan have highlights with Northside, Houston County, ARC, Lakeside-Evans, Lincoln County, Washington-Wilkes, and the rest of the CSRA.

Down to south Georgia now where Jake and the WALB-TV folks had a big, sorry, BIG weekend for home games with looks at Bainbridge, Ware and Coffee, Colquitt and Enterprise, Valdosta and Thomasville, and Tift and Baldwin… for starters… in “The Locker Room.”

WALB.com, South Georgia News, Weather, Sports

Down south, the biggest game in the southeast corner of the state was Brunswick and Camden County. Brent and Hick have the highlights as their second game on the board…

Last stop this week, the metro for those games that we were talking about at the beginning of the column…

Here’s the look at the Grayson-Archer matchup from our friends at MyFoxAtlanta.

So, second question, Dear Reader: What match-up are you looking forward to the most this weekend…???

Reach out in all the ways we reach out to one another and let us all know what’s going on…

This week, “Football Fridays” is at Memorial Stadium (or “Hallford Stadium” these days) with a bit of a twist. We start at 7:00 with the end of the Banneker-Miller Grove game, then it’s the “All-Access Pass” show, followed by Creekside-Stephenson game.

Be sure to join all of us for a long night of football from DeKalb County and don’t forget to download the GPB Sports app to stay up-to-date with everything football!!!

Play it safe, everyone… I’ll see you at the stadium!
