The first week of the GHSA football playoffs were incredible. Great games, great competition, and incredibly, nine higher seeded teams were knocked out....which of course is why you play the games. Moving into round two, GPB’s Football Fridays in Georgia crew is heading to Lawrenceville, Georgia for the Lee County-Archer game. Lee County is having a terrific season at 8-2 on the year and the Trojans play in the toughest region in the country in Region 1-6A. The Archer Tigers lost their first three games to three very talented teams, and have reeled off eight straight victories since then to make it to the sweet sixteen in Class 6A. GPB Sports will kick off our coverage with our All Access Pass Pregame Show. Grace Olson traveled out to Lawrenceville to check in with the Archer Tigers and Jon Nelson hit the trail to Leesburg to visit with the Trojans coach Dean Fabrizio, his team and his fans. Claire Simms will once again headline our Stop The Drop Campaign coverage, encouraging students to stay in school and earn their high school degrees. Former Falcon Chuck Smith will talk X’s and O’s in our Georgia Farm Bureau “Extra Point” segment and play by play man Matt Stewart will join me for our College Football Hall of Fame “Recruiting Roundup” segment. We will also have scores and bracketology breakdowns you will need as the GHSA Playoffs roll into round two on this week’s Football Fridays in Georgia, live on GPB.
