So, here we are…“the thinning of the herd” as the voice of GPB, Bruce Burkhardt, tells us from this moment forward.
There were even mini-games that decided a 3-for-1 in one region and a 3-for-2 in another in North Georgia to decide the final 192 teams.
There are some great matchups and some absolutely brutal brackets (see the left-hand side of the quad-A bracket as proof. Not to mention, some interesting matchups down the line.

Let’s recap how we got here.

In 6A, the surprise is that Camden and Lowndes are not EVEN IN THE POST-SEASON!!!

In 5A, Ware County played Brunswick in the regular season finale. Chris Porter and 'Team Sideline' have the look at how Franklin Stephens’ Gators got to host Starr’s Mill in the first round and how Brunswick ended up hitting the road to Stockbridge.

In single-A, a huge matchup between Aquinas and Tattnall Square finishes up T-Square’s first regular season run through the GHSA ranks. It was a rumble for both sides as playoff math takes over later this week for seedings.

Kevin and Andrew have the highlights of this one and Burke and Thomson before it.

In double-A, keep an eye on Benedictine. Danny Britt’s team seems to be hitting full song at just the right time. Their last regular season contest was against Long County to figure out where the Cadets would be going in round one. The answer: Nowhere. They’re staying at home to play a tough Thomasville team.
Frank and Stefanie have “The Frenzy” where BC took care of Long County in Game 10.
