The Kennesaw State community is looking forward to introducing their first football team in the fall of 2015. But with a football team, comes a cheerleading squad and the new Owls cheerleaders are not taking their role lightly. The dedication is driven by the excitement attached to making history. The cheer squad's primary focus is collegiate-level stunting, higher-level tumbling and maintaining a family atmosphere; while putting in hours of practice, they still want to be focused on working together as a family and as a team.

This is Coach AJ Boyd's first year coaching the KSU Cheerleaders.

“Our Squad is very much about family. That is our motto to stick together, to work together as a family," said Coach Boyd.

This also marks the first year a coed squad has existed at Kennesaw State. Gray Milloway was the first male to tryout and describes his experience at the tryouts in the video below.

KSU Owls male cheerleader Chandler Strong added, “It feels amazing to be a part of KSU’s first football cheerleading squad.”

Watch the video below to meet some of the KSU Football cheerleaders, their new head coach and see their impressive stunting and tumbling skills.
