Well, we’re almost there…

And that’s hard to believe…

The third season is almost upon us… the home stretch… the end of the line for the whole enchilada… all that stuff is right/there…

The playoffs where192 teams make the grade from 450 and chase after the seven titles that we’ll broadcast from the Georgia Dome on the #greatGPB

Everyone is making their last pushes for the post-season and it’s great to see the race t the first finish line of the season…

But, first and foremost, I want to give our thoughts to Cecil Flowe, the Parkview head coach, who was forced to leave the game last week against Central Gwinnett because of chest pains. Word from Cecil Flowe is that he’s good now…

And that’s cool… because I’m not the kind of guy that likes getting scares like the one he gave us last week…

The First Thing I Know… I love this time of year…

Not just for upsets and stuff (How’s that for an all-encompassing word…?), but just for the race itself…

I’ll give you Region 1-6A again…
When we were on the air, the Valdosta game with Colquitt was 38-14… and it sure didn’t end that way…

Robert Hydrick was in the Locker Room…

So, Region 1-6A falls like this…

Camden and Lowndes will decide the region…
Valdosta was fifth, but the win over Colquitt should give them the three if they beat Brunswick and Coffee. Colquitt really needs a win over Coffee this week to get the 4th seed.
Got all that…???

Second Thing I Know… Thomson and Washington County will go deep in the playoffs, and might end up playing each other all over again by the time they’re through.

The game at the House of Pain was an awesome trend-setter for the third season, but will make the Bulldogs the one-seed and the Golden Hawks number two…

Big Marvin tells the tale…

Third Thing I Know… There are a lot of games that will decide region titles this week…

Like these…

No. 1 Camden County vs. No. 4 Lowndes (Region 1-AAAAAA)
No. 1 Northside-Warner Robins vs. No. 7 Warner Robins (Region 2-AAAAA)
No. 2 M.L. King vs. No. 5 Tucker (Region 6-AAAAA)
No. 1 Sandy Creek vs. No. 4 Carrollton (Region 5-AAAA)
No. 1 Peach County vs. No. 4 Carver Columbus (Region 2-AAA)
No. 7 Blessed Trinity vs. No. 9 St. Pius (Region 6-AAA)
No. 5 Lincoln County vs. No. 9 Wilkinson County (Region 7-A)
*No. 7 Wilcox County vs. No. 8 Irwin County (Region 2-A)

You like that for a Friday…???

Fourth Thing I Know… A shout-out to Double-A…

Vidalia is 8-0…quietly… they beat Bacon County 14-10 last week and Bacon still hasn’t beaten the Indians since 1974…

Just as quietly, @GPBSports caught up with new Lamar County head coach Franklin Stephens over his new digs in Barnesville and he is this/close trying to get a region title. His victory over Bleckley County was the next step in that process as he tries to do in Double-A what he did with Tucker…

Courtney Lyle has the highlights, if you’re a Trojan fan…

Fifth Thing I Know… Blatant plug time…

We get one of those match-ups I talked about in the Third Thing I Know…

Carrollton and Sandy Creek… I anticipate a lot of people traveling from Carrollton to the Battlefield… tailgating early and staying late…

The All-Access Pass with Jenn, Mark, Rayven, Grace, Gil, Trey, David, and “moi” starts at 7:30 with kick-off shortly after 8…

The Interwebs have the St. Pius- Blessed Trinity game, starting at 7:30…

Dial up our free app on your iPad, join in on the chat, friend us on the Facebook… and be a part of the discussion…

We ask you…

Looking forward to the 10th Friday of the year…

How ‘bout you…???

Play it safe, everyone… Talk to you soon…
