Georgia in one of the top states for creating new construction jobs

A total of 39 states added construction jobs during 2013 according to the Associated General Contractors of America.

A report from Daily Commercial News shows that job growth in the construction sector was widespread.

“The widespread job gains seen in most states for the past few months continued in November, while no state recorded a year-over-year loss of more than four per cent,” said Ken Simonson, the association’s chief economist. “But progress remains fragile, with some states having results in the latest month that diverge sharply from their year-over-year outcomes.”

California added the most construction jobs during 2013, followed by Florida, Texas, Georgia and Missouri.
