The world's largest carpet manufacturer, Shaw Industries, has announced a $100 million investment for its distribution network throughout northwest Georgia.

The investment is expected to create 175 new jobs.

The upgrade to the Shaw distribution system will include a new 535,000 square foot warehouse.

Shaw recently announced a new manufacturing plant in Adairsvile, GA that is expected to employ 500.

According to a report at DaltonDailyCitizen.com, “As our end-use markets recover, we are accelerating our investments in our business. This will benefit not only our customers, but our associates and the communities where we operate,” said Shaw chairman and CEO Vance Bell.
