750 Jobs will be created in Atlanta and Columbus.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Gerogia is adding 750 jobs at its Atlanta and Columbus locations, with 400 of the positions allotted for Columbus, announced WTVM.com. The jobs are being created to help support the State Health Benefit Plan members.

"In this time of economic recovery, it is especially exciting to see local companies like Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia adding new jobs," Georgia Governor Nathan Deal said. "These important jobs will provide a meaningful boost to our local economy. We applaud Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia for serving their new State Health Benefit Plan customers with fellow Georgians."

Currently, Blue Cross and Blue Shield employs approximately 3,000 employees in Georgia. The new jobs will include medical professionals and entry level and managerial positions in the areas of customer service, training and other operational functions (WTVM.com).
