Junior Achievement's Chick-fil-A Foundation Discovery Center Opens for 6th - 8th graders.

Beginning this fall, students will learn how to budget, save, invest and become a leader in his or her own household. Junior Achievement of Georgia is providing students in the Atlanta Public Schools, DeKalb County Public Schools and Fulton Schools the opportunity to learn about finances, careers and leadership through a four-week curriculum at the Junior Achievement's Chick-fil-A Foundation Discovery Center.

Students in the 6th-8th grades will begin the curriculum in the classroom and at the end, integrate their learning with a day at the Discovery Center’s JA BizTown or the JA Finance Park. Both centers will be designed as interactive marketplaces representative of the local business community, including financial services, media, telecommunications, utilities, manufacturing and more. The centers will house the latest in high-tech, hands-on elements to create a transformational experience for all participants (georgia.ja.org).

Different Atlanta companies and foundations who have helped to support the JA of Georgia are Chick-fil-A, SunTrust Banks, Delta Air Lines and the Joseph B. Whitehead Foundation.
