Pinewood Studios to Begin Construction in Fayette County Soon

The much anticipated construction of Pinewood Studios newest facility in Fayette County should soon be underway.

The Fayette County Commission has approved the necessary rezoning application that will allow construction to begin as early as next month.

The proposed studios are expected to be the largest in Georgia and include a coordinated effort with Clayton State University to offer educational degrees & training related to the film and television industry.

According a report at www.TheCitizenNews.com the studio is creating a large interest in overall economic development in the area. Len Gough of Promaker Development said his company has already received 73 inquiries from companies who want to come to Fayette County solely because of the Pinewood announcement.

Pinewood Studios is the home to some of the most successful movie productions in the world including The Hobbit, James Bond, X-Men, and Harry Potter.
