Not a bad week in Georgia for those looking for work now or eyeing a move in the future.

Kroger announced it would host a hiring even seeking to fill more than 400 positions. Atlanta-area Kroger stores will each host an event Saturday, November 4th.

“Kroger is dedicated to providing career opportunities with competitive pay and great benefits within the communities we serve,” says Felix Turner, corporate affairs manager for Kroger’s Atlanta Division. “We are excited to hire hard-working, customer-centered associates who are committed to creating exceptional and unique shopping experiences for our customers this holiday season.”

Positions are available for deli and bakery departments, meat and seafood departments, baggers, cashiers and clerks.

All perspective applicants should apply online BEFORE going to the store. Remember to dress the part and come in with a smile. Good luck!

Also in Georgia, Henry County is set for 300 new jobs as national wholesale clothing provider S&S Activewear announced it would put a new logistics center in Georgia.

The newly created positions will be filled over the next four years, with jobs in jobs include warehouse, supervisory and management positions.

The company will add the brand new 505,000-square-foot warehouse in Atlanta to its already expansive national network, allowing the company to operate more than three million square feet nationwide. The center, to be located at the Midland Logistic Center in McDonough, will be operational in the second quarter of 2018.

While no timetable has been set for when these positions will post, keep up with Georgia@Work and we’ll update when new information is made available.
