The Workforce Division of the Georgia Department of Economic Development is all about uptraining Georgians to fill in-demand jobs. There are so many great programs and training options available to Georgians—at no out of pocket cost, I should add—and we want to make sure Georgians know all about them.

That's why, in partnership with Trust Dale TV, we created a four-episode series showcasing the many options available to Georgians.

“Many times workforce is the leading determining factor in attracting new business and supporting the expansions of our existing industry in Georgia,” said Pat Wilson, Commissioner, Georgia Department of Economic Development. “This partnership will help further tell the story of our great resources and training tools that help strengthen Georgia’s workforce system.”

Through a partnership with Trust Dale TV, Great Georgia Jobs is a workforce-focused television series that features training programs, employment resources and information from partners including the Technical College System of Georgia, Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency and Georgia Department of Labor.

The episodes tell stories of a diverse group of Georgians, from very different backgrounds, who overcome barriers to employment by taking advantage of the statewide resources and training tools available to Georgia job seekers. Topics discussed range from on-the-job training and work-based learning to up-skilling, entrepreneurship and technical assistance.
