Raise awareness and inspire students to get involved in improving air quality with the OnAir Art Challenge. The overarching theme of each contest is “Clean Air Heroes” and requires students to create art that will inspire their peers to help reduce air pollution. Cartoon Design Challenge (K-5): Students from kindergarten to fifth grade are invited to participate in the cartoon challenge, which asks them to illustrate original comic strips about clean air heroes in their world. Video Creation Challenge (Grades 6-8): Bring out the inner director in your middle schoolers by letting them compete in the Video Creation Challenge. Students are to produce a creative public service announcement that explains how everyday individuals can be global clean air heroes. Check out all of the details here. T-Shirt Design Challenge (Grades 9-12): High school students can write a catchy slogan or draw a t-shirt design that promotes clean air and provides information about diminishing pollution from automobile exhaust pipes. All entries must be submitted no later than February 29, 2016 and should adhere to the guidelines listed below. Go to onairschools.org and click “Want to Receive a Code?” at the top of the page to get started!

Art Challenge Guidelines:

1. All submissions have to be entered online at onairschools.org. For more instructions on submitting entries, click here.

2. Entries are eligible for school-wide voting. Winners from each school will be entered into a national competition and national winners will receive grand prize gift cards and donations to their school!

3. School voting will begin on March 1 and end on March 15, 2016. The winner from each school will move on to the finals. The top three finalists selected will be announced on April 11, 2016.
