In January 2014, we released the new, digital Georgia Studies textbook. It is the updated, reformatted version of the widely used The Georgia Studies Book: Our State and the Nation published by the Carl Vinson Institute.

The status “updated” means not only that we’ve freshened up the look, but also that we have enriched the content with new photos and even videos by displaying it in a medium that students already love: technology. Since the book’s original publication in 1998, a lot has changed in how students prefer to receive information. Likewise, teachers have changed the way information is presented in the classroom.

We believe that the Georgia Studies Digital Textbook fits this new model for technology in the classroom. But, we really want to know what you think about it. You can let us know by completing this brief survey online. It should take you about 5 minutes from start to finish and all of the questions are multiple choice.

If you complete the survey and still have more to tell us about your experience with the digital textbook, we welcome your feedback! Email us at education@gpb.org.

If you teach Georgia History and haven’t seen the digital textbook yet, you can register for the free textbook at gpb.org/textbook. We’ll email you a username and password. You’ll be able to view the entire book in our GPB App from the Apple iTunes store.

We sincerely appreciate your time and value your opinion on this survey! Thank you!
