Downton Days Are Here

Downton Days Are Here

It’s Downton Abbey time! Time for backstabbing, plotting, evil eyes and snide remarks set against a gorgeous house in the English countryside. And let’s not forget everyone’s favorite character, the Dowager Countess Violet, played by the incomparable Maggie Smith. She’s one of my favorite scene stealers, and certainly the most interesting member of the family. It’s also time to watch the household staff and the villains within (I’m looking at you O’Brien, and your little dog Thomas, too). I must admit, sometimes I miss scenes because I’m too busy studying the house and grounds. The architecture, décor, and pageantry of every meal are as compelling as the cast. Thank goodness for DVRs and the ability to quick rewind and freeze! Let’s get comfy and get watching. The fun begins Sunday December 18th at 7:00.
