The ice storm did not keep two laborers from looking for day jobs. GPB’s Tanya Ott stumbled upon Lamelle Levin and Renelle Rivers outdoors. They were standing in front of “Catch Out Corner” on Ponce de Leon in Atlanta. Stationed in front of a Starbucks and near a Home Depot, the spot is a popular area for day laborers to pick up work.

Levin and Rivers told Ott they were looking for work clearing out weather damaged pipes or helping sliding motorists for a price.
