After earning her Bachelor of Science Degree from Armstrong State University in the spring of 2012, she began teaching in the Liberty County School System in the fall of that year. From the onset of her career, Jessica has been involved with the school’s science committee where she plays a key role in planning for the annual STEM night and in developing a school-wide Science Club.

After her first four years of teaching in a regular second grade classroom and serving on the science committee, Jessica was invited to teach in the newly formed STEM program at her school. Currently, Jessica continues to teach in the STEM program as it grows and expands across Liberty Elementary. Daily, she incorporates real life situations into her curriculum. In this manner, her students are able to explore solutions through a variety of hands on challenges. As a STEM facilitator in her second year, Jessica shares the STEM vision with the staff, administration, and parents at Liberty Elementary School.
