Dr. Arhonda C. Johnson, a Chicago native, has been practicing medicine here in Atlanta since 2006. After graduating from Tuskegee University in 2002, she remained at the university accepting their small animal medicine and surgery internship. Upon successful completion of her internship she relocated to Florida. Dr. Johnson continued to hone her skills in Florida contributing to two successful sister practices. As a very active member of local veterinary organizations, Dr. Johnson held multiple positions on executive boards including a presidency.
An incessant desire to increase her knowledge base led Dr. Johnson to apply for a second internship. Upon selection, she moved to San Antonio, Texas to complete an exclusive internal medicine program that also rotated through radiology and ophthalmology.
After finally coming to the conclusion that being a small animal practitioner would bring her the most joy, Dr. Johnson moved to Atlanta , Georgia . There she was welcomed by a set of parents and 4 of 5 brothers. Recently married, Dr. Johnson and her life partner Kevin have made Atlanta their home.
Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with her husband Kevin, stepson Kyle, and canine son and constant companion, Petey, who goes everywhere with her. When time allows, she loves to travel and has consciously made it a lifelong endeavor to give back to the community she serves.
