Education, Jane hosts Commissioner Mike Vollmer and Director of
Communications, Michael Light.
- Their topic of discussion is an innovative new TV series
called "Road Trip" designed to inform students, and adults, of
technical career education options.
- Each episode of "Road Trip" is a self-contained story that
opens doors for middle and high school students to the new and exciting
opportunities offered by Georgia's technical colleges.
- Thirty-four technical colleges and three Board of Regents colleges with technical divisions are featured in the series.

of School Improvement and Reginald Beaty from Communities in Schools of
Georgia are in the studio.
- There is now a Graduation Coach in each of Georgia's 385
public high schools. Under the program, approved by the General
Assembly earlier this year, each of Georgia's 385 public high schools
can hire a Graduation Coach and send them to the training. The coach's
primary responsibility will be to identify and work with at-risk
students and help them get back on the graduation track before they
drop out.
