Named the Director of Finance and Budget by Vickers in June, 2000, Bean
came to GPB from the Georgia Department of Technical and Adult
Education (DTAE) where she was Director of Accounting. At DTAE, Bean
managed the central office accounting department, which included
developing and administering the financial processes of the central
office as well as the network of 32 technical institutes around the
state. Prior to her service at DTAE, she worked with the Georgia
Department of Audits where her experience included auditing state
agencies, colleges and universities, and local school boards. A CPA,
Bean has 23 years of experience in governmental accounting and auditing.

As CFO, Bean is responsible for all of the fiscal affairs of the
organization, including the budget, accounting and payroll,
procurement, inventory control, contracts and audits.
