Justin Sheppard was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia shortly after he was born. His parents, Josey and Angela Sheppard, knew they were at risk for having a child with the disease. But they did not know that a bone marrow transplant was a possible cure if a suitable donor could be found.
